APPOINTMENT

Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa has appointed Chef Ashish Kandwal as its new Executive Chef.
Ashish brings over 14 years of culinary experience, having worked with hospitality brands such as JW Marriott, Waldorf Astoria Doha (pre-opening), Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency LA, Taj, Oberoi, Hilton International, and Mandarin Oriental.

His professional journey includes assignments across Japan, Dubai, Doha (Qatar), the Caribbean, and the Bahamas. During this time, he has led multi-outlet kitchen operations, managed large culinary teams, and overseen food production for VVIP weddings, ministerial engagements, and large-scale banquet events.

Ashish’s culinary approach focuses on seasonal ingredients, consistency, kitchen discipline, and team development. His expertise spans Modern Indian, Continental, Italian, and Asian cuisines. He also has experience in menu engineering, food cost management, and adherence to HACCP standards.
In his new role, Chef Ashish will be responsible for overseeing the resort’s culinary operations and kitchen teams.
