APPOINTMENT
Randy Rockbrand has been appointed General Manager at Rio Perdido in Bagaces, Costa Rica.
The appointment follows the property’s recent expansion of its spa and wellness offerings.Rockbrand joins the eco-luxury retreat after serving as Operations Manager at Hospital San Rafael Arcángel in Guanacaste. He brings 14 years of industry experience and holds an MBA from Les Roches in Switzerland.
In his new role, Rockbrand plans to focus on building on Rio Perdido’s location by increasing partnerships with local vendors and strengthening connections between the resort and the surrounding community. His approach aligns with his professional focus areas of Operational Excellence and Sustainability.
Rockbrand also aims to support Rio Perdido’s philosophy of passive wellness, which emphasizes harmony with nature, the body, and the local community. Alongside environmental and financial sustainability, he has expressed a strong interest in creating ongoing opportunities for the property’s local team members.
As General Manager, Rockbrand will oversee the overall operations of Rio Perdido while working closely with staff and community stakeholders to support the retreat’s long-term objectives.
