Paul Damico Appointed CEO of Ascent Hospitality Management
Ascent Hospitality Management, parent company of Huddle House and Perkins American Food, has appointed Paul Damico as CEO, effective immediately.
Damico will lead the company’s next phase of growth and modernisation while continuing support for franchisees. He will evaluate opportunities to expand Ascent’s portfolio through acquisitions that align with the company’s strategy, vision, and values.
Commenting on his appointment, Damico said: “Hospitality is central to my career, and I look forward to working with franchisees and the Ascent team to support the growth of Huddle House and Perkins. My goal is to foster collaboration and innovation while maintaining focus on meeting guests’ needs.”
Damico brings over 40 years of experience in the food and beverage and hospitality sectors, particularly in multi-brand operations. His previous roles include CEO at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Global Franchise Group, and Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill, as well as senior leadership positions at Focus Brands (now GoTo Foods).
He is a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) of the International Franchise Association and serves on the National Restaurant Association Fast Casual Industry Council board.
Ascent currently operates 600 locations across the US and Canada. Its brands, Huddle House and Perkins, have offered breakfast and all-day menus for over sixty years. In April 2025, Ascent named Blain Shortreed as COO, overseeing operations, strategic growth, and franchisee support for both brands.
