Emirates Skywards Opens Flight Rewards for Premium Economy
Emirates Skywards has launched flight rewards for Premium Economy travel, allowing its more than 35 million members to redeem Skywards Miles for Classic Rewards and Upgrade Rewards in this cabin.
Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President Emirates Skywards, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the introduction of flight rewards on Emirates’ highly coveted Premium Economy cabin. This has been in development for some time and comes following the huge success, positive feedback, and strong demand by members to utilise Miles on Premium Economy – especially on popular long-haul destinations such as London, Sydney, Melbourne, and New York. The offer will initially be available exclusively to our Skywards members, with plans to extend to other airline partners in the future. We are confident this enhancement will further enrich the travel experience, staying true to our brand promise of always flying customers better. We look forward to more of our members now having the opportunity to experience Emirates’ newest, luxurious cabin with a service that rivals many airlines’ Business Class.”
Earning and redeeming options include:
Classic Rewards: From 15,000 Miles (one-way) for a Premium Economy ticket.
Upgrade Rewards: From 7,020 Miles (one-way) to upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy.
Upgrade requests can be made before travel or at the check-in counter, subject to availability.
Skywards has recently expanded its Classic Rewards program to include all flydubai flights, starting at just 5,000 Miles. Additionally, the Cash+Miles rates have been revised. Between June and August 2025, nearly 500,000 tickets were booked using Skywards Miles through Classic Rewards, Cash+Miles, and Upgrade Rewards for various routes, including London, Paris, New York, and Bangkok.
Emirates Premium Economy is now available on selected Boeing 777 and other designated aircraft, serving more than 66 cities worldwide. The airline is gradually expanding this option as part of its ongoing aircraft retrofit program and new fleet deliveries. By 2026, Premium Economy will be offered on routes to 68 cities, with a capacity of approximately 4 million seats per year.
Customers can book Premium Economy flights or upgrades through emirates.com, the Emirates App, contact centres, retail stores, or travel agents.
