AirAsia Reveals Refreshed Cabin Crew Uniforms with Sustainable, Regional Focus at KLFW 2025

AirAsia introduced updated cabin crew uniforms at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2025, featuring recycled materials aimed at improving comfort, fit, and functionality. The designs incorporate elements contributed by Malaysian and Indonesian creatives. AirAsia X also revealed revised uniforms for specific routes, including Jeddah and Medina.

The uniforms are made using up to 40% recycled textile materials, blended with refurbished fabrics. They feature softer textures, improved flexibility, and allow for ease of movement—ideal for extended work hours onboard. Designed to be lightweight and low-maintenance, the updated attire aims to help crew members perform their roles with greater ease and assurance.

2025 marks ten years of collaboration between AirAsia and KLFW, underscoring the airline’s commitment to supporting regional talent and creative partnerships. The showcase began with a performance by Malaysian pop group DOLLA, part of AirAsia’s ongoing ASEAN campaign. A visual presentation followed, celebrating the cultural diversity of AirAsia’s cabin crew. As part of KLFW’s Design to Sustain initiative, the airline reaffirmed its engagement with local designers, emphasizing its evolving role as both a travel provider and a supporter of culture, creativity, and collaboration across Southeast Asia.
