Banyan Tree Appoints Laura Christian as Cluster Director of Marketing & Communications for Dubai and AlUla Properties

Banyan Tree Dubai and Banyan Tree AlUla have appointed Laura Christian as Cluster Director of Marketing & Communications. In this dual-resort role, she will lead brand, marketing, and communications initiatives across both properties.
With over 15 years of experience in hospitality marketing, Laura has collaborated with brands across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Her background includes roles at The Ned by Soho House & Sydell Group, Habtoor Hospitality, and The Mandala Group, where she focused on launching campaigns, shaping brand positioning, and overseeing cross-market initiatives.
A graduate in Business Studies from the University of Leeds, Laura began her career in Dubai at Habtoor Hospitality, where she supported key developments, including Al Habtoor City and La Perle. She led global representation efforts at trade shows, including ITB and ILTM. In 2016, she moved to London to lead marketing and partnerships for The Ned’s opening, managing campaigns and partnerships that contributed to the property’s early visibility.
She later relocated to Singapore as the Group Director of Marketing and Partnerships for The Mandala Group, where she managed marketing and event programming across venues in Singapore, Bali, and Japan. In January 2025, she returned to the UAE as Director of Marketing and Communications for Banyan Tree Dubai, developing marketing strategies at both local and international levels.

In her new role, Laura will oversee strategic marketing and communication efforts for Banyan Tree Dubai and Banyan Tree AlUla, including the brand’s wellness offerings such as Banyan Tree Spa. She will focus on aligning brand messaging, content strategy, and guest engagement across the two locations.
Her appointment supports Banyan Tree’s regional focus on thoughtful growth and guest experience, rooted in the brand’s principles of sanctuary, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility.
