IndiGo Launches Daily Flights Between Jharsuguda-Mumbai

IndiGo has entered into an agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for the damp lease of one Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The aircraft is set to arrive in India in the coming weeks and is expected to begin operations in March 2025. This partnership highlights IndiGo’s strategic efforts to expand its geographic reach and provide customers with more options for international travel.

The initial duration of the agreement is six months, with the possibility of extension to 18 months, pending regulatory approvals. Both parties are dedicated to investigating additional chances to prolong this timeframe, again contingent on regulatory approvals. IndiGo and Norse will continue pursuing opportunities to establish contracts for more aircraft and strengthen their collaboration.

IndiGo is committed to enhancing its customers’ travel experiences and broadening its international presence in response to increasing demand for international flights to and from India. To facilitate and expedite its long-haul growth, IndiGo has finalized an order for 30 Airbus 350-900 wide-body planes, with the opportunity to order 70 more. Deliveries are anticipated to begin in 2027.
