APPOINTMENT
Sunil Kumar has been appointed as the new Vice President & General Manager at The Leela Palace Chennai.
In his new role as Vice President, he will spearhead the overall operations of the luxury hotel. Sunil brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality sector, having worked across leisure destinations and urban hotel environments in global markets. His professional background includes expertise in hotel repositioning, operational management, revenue performance, and brand-related initiatives.
He has also been associated with food and beverage operations, large-scale banqueting, and social and experiential events. Over the course of his career, Kumar has been involved in the development and launch of dining and lifestyle concepts within hotel settings.
With experience spanning hotel openings, brand expansion, and operational leadership, Kumar will be responsible for leading the property’s strategic and day-to-day functions going forward.
