Tru by Hilton Expands into Honduras with New Hotel Opening
Tru by Hilton Growth in Caribbean and Latin America
Hilton has opened its first Tru by Hilton property in Honduras, marking the brand’s entry into the country and adding to its presence across the Caribbean and Latin America.
The new hotel, Tru by Hilton Distrito Palmerola, is located near Palmerola International Airport in Comayagua and offers 103 rooms. The property introduces the brand’s design approach, shared social spaces, and practical amenities to a key travel hub in the region.
This opening forms part of the brand’s ongoing development across the region, with several properties already operating in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Chile, alongside additional hotels planned in markets including Argentina, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.
Features and Facilities at Tru by Hilton Distrito Palmerola
The hotel features spaces for both work and leisure, including a lobby that accommodates various activities throughout the day. Guests have access to facilities such as a fitness centre, outdoor pool, parking, and shuttle services.
Rooms are designed to optimise space and natural light, with functional layouts and in-room entertainment options. Food and beverage offerings include a complimentary breakfast, a 24-hour market, and coffee service in the lobby.
The property also incorporates measures to reduce environmental impact, including solar panels and air circulation systems, as part of the company’s broader sustainability framework.
Regional Development Plans

The brand continues to add properties across the Caribbean and Latin America, with upcoming openings planned in several destinations. The expansion reflects ongoing interest from travellers and hotel owners in mid-scale accommodation options across the region.
The opening in Honduras adds another location to the brand’s regional network and supports local tourism infrastructure in Comayagua.
