Soy Soi Brings Southeast Asian Street Food to Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad
From February 27 to March 1, 2026, Zega at the Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel will host a three-day culinary collaboration with Chennai-based restaurant Soy Soi. The pop-up introduces Hyderabad diners to Soy Soi’s approach to Southeast Asian street food, presented in a restaurant setting.

Led by Chef Te Yuan Peter Tseng, Culinary Director at Pricol Gourmet Pvt. Ltd., Soy Soi opened in Chennai in 2017. The restaurant draws inspiration from the street food cultures of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar, translating those regional influences into a focused Pan-Asian menu. This event marks the first time Soy Soi’s dishes will be available in Hyderabad.
The Menu

The pop-up menu features several dishes associated with Soy Soi’s kitchen in Chennai. Among them are Soto Ayam Madura with turmeric-poached chicken and vermicelli noodles; Lahpet Thoke, a Burmese fermented tea leaf salad; Xiaolong Bao served with miso broth and Wagyu; and Yellow Tail Usuzukuri with yuzu koshu and herb oil.
Small plates include Sate Ayam Bakar with sambal hijau and coconut reduction, and Jasmine Tempura Prawns finished with Sichuan chilli and tea leaf oil. Larger plates feature Lamb Rendang prepared with bumbu and roasted coconut.
Desserts include Thap Thim Krop with pandan and coconut panna cotta, along with a selection of bonbons in flavours such as pandan, matcha, jasmine and tamarind.
Both à la carte lunch options and curated set menus for dinner will be available during the three-day event.
A Collaborative Setting

For the duration of the pop-up, Zega’s interiors will incorporate Asian-inspired design elements, referencing earth, fire, water and air to reflect the spirit of Southeast Asian street markets.

Chef Peter Tseng describes the collaboration as a way to connect two cities through food and shared culinary traditions. Benjamin Lalhmangaiha, Executive Sous Chef at Zega, notes that the partnership provides an opportunity for culinary exchange while presenting regional Asian flavours to Hyderabad guests.
