Regent Seven Seas Cruises Orders Fourth Prestige-Class Ship from Fincantieri
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has signed an agreement with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct a fourth vessel in its Prestige-Class series. The new ship is scheduled for delivery in 2036.
The order follows the planned debut of Seven Seas Prestige in December 2026. The second and third ships in the series are expected to enter service in 2030 and 2033. All four vessels will be built at Fincantieri’s shipyards in Italy.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said the newbuild reflects the company’s long-term plans within the ultra-luxury cruise segment. He noted that when Seven Seas Prestige opened for sale in June 2025, it recorded the highest single booking day for a new ship launch in the company’s history.
Seven Seas Prestige will mark the line’s first new ship class in a decade. At 77,000 gross tons, the vessel will accommodate 822 guests and be staffed by 630 crew members. Compared with previous Regent ships, it will be about 40% larger, increasing guest capacity by approximately 10%.
The ship will feature all-balcony suites across 12 categories, including four new suite types. Among them is the Skyview Regent Suite, positioned as the largest suite in the fleet. Public spaces will include the Starlight Atrium and Galileo’s Bar.
Seven Seas Prestige will offer 11 dining venues, including a Mediterranean-inspired concept called Azure, as well as established restaurants such as Chartreuse, Prime 7 and Pacific Rim. An additional dining venue is expected to be announced at a later stage.
The cruise experience will continue to include shore excursions in every port of call, onboard dining across speciality and outdoor venues, beverages including wines and spirits, entertainment, WiFi access via Starlink, valet laundry service, pre-paid gratuities, and a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay for guests in Concierge-level suites and above.
The ship’s inaugural season will feature 13 voyages across the Caribbean and Europe. The maiden voyage is scheduled to depart on 13 December 2026, sailing from Barcelona to Miami on a 14-night transatlantic crossing. Subsequent itineraries will include sailings in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, the Panama Canal, and routes departing from Miami, Los Angeles and New York. The season will conclude with voyages along the Iberian Peninsula and the French coast, including selected overnight port calls.
