Radisson Individuals Enters Spain with Blau Gran Hotel Las Caldas and Blau Hotel Las Caldas
Radisson Individuals has entered the Spanish market with the addition of Blau Gran Hotel Las Caldas and Blau Hotel Las Caldas, two wellness-oriented properties located in the Las Caldas valley, a short drive from Oviedo. The signing reflects Radisson Hotel Group’s focus on expanding its collection of character-led hotels in distinctive destinations.
Together, the two properties offer 156 rooms and suites set within landscaped gardens, along with spa facilities and flexible event spaces. The hotels combine historic elements with contemporary amenities, catering to travellers seeking nature-based stays, wellbeing experiences, and a connection to Asturian culture.

Commenting on the debut, Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer, Franchise, Radisson Hotel Group, said the launch of Radisson Individuals in Spain aligns with the brand’s approach of partnering with hotels that have a strong sense of identity and local character, supported by consistent service standards.
Founded in 1776, Blau Gran Hotel Las Caldas has a history connected to thermal wellness in Spain. Its historic Balneario and Royal Spa feature mineral-rich waters and traditional spa spaces, now paired with updated guestrooms and modern facilities that blend longstanding wellness traditions with contemporary hospitality.
The four-star Blau Hotel Las Caldas offers a contemporary setting, focused on movement and outdoor activity. The property includes modern fitness facilities, 77 rooms, and direct access to nearby mountains and walking trails, supporting a balance between activity and relaxation.
Dining across both hotels is overseen by Chef Raúl Galán, with menus highlighting Asturian produce and modern techniques.
Restaurante Scanda, located at Blau Gran Hotel Las Caldas, is an adults-only venue offering a refined dining experience.
Restaurante Viator at Blau Hotel Las Caldas offers regional flavours in a relaxed, contemporary setting.
The Lounge & Terrace Bar serves as a social space for drinks, light meals, and informal gatherings.
Guests at both hotels have access to the Aquaxana Spa, an 800 m² wellness area featuring pools, hydrotherapy zones, outdoor eco-thermal spaces, and relaxation areas within the gardens. The historic Balneario and Royal Spa offer traditional treatments and thermal rituals. Additional facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sports centre, and a range of therapeutic and beauty treatments.
The Las Caldas properties also accommodate meetings, incentives, and private events, providing multiple indoor and outdoor venues for up to 300 guests. With over 10,000 m² of outdoor space and modern technical infrastructure, the destination supports corporate and social events in a natural setting.
Located near Oviedo’s historic centre and surrounding natural parks, the hotels give guests opportunities to explore the region’s culture, cuisine, and landscapes.

José Velasco, CEO of Blau Hotels, said the partnership with Radisson Individuals supports the international positioning of the Las Caldas properties while maintaining their management approach, local identity, and connection to Asturias.
