He added that, since its founding by Jamsetji Tata in 1903, Taj has played an important role in India’s hospitality and tourism sector.
Today, the brand operates a portfolio of 150 hotels across 15 countries, including city hotels, palaces, beach and hill resorts, wildlife lodges and serviced residences.
Focus on Responsible Growth
IHCL stated that the continued growth of the Taj brand is guided by Paathya, the company’s ESG+ framework, which focuses on responsible business practices, environmental stewardship, community engagement and cultural preservation.
Brand Finance Perspective
David Haigh, Chairman of Brand Finance, said:

“Taj’s position as India’s Strongest Brand for the fifth consecutive year reflects the consistency of its brand performance and the trust it has built with consumers. As the brand continues to expand in India and internationally, maintaining these strengths will remain important.”
The recognition further reinforces the brand’s status as one of India’s most well-known hospitality brands and supports IHCL’s ongoing growth in both domestic and international markets.
