Qatar Airways Operates Limited Flights Amidst Qatari
On 11 March 2026, Qatar Airways announced a limited flight schedule from 13 to 17 March, following the temporary suspension of its regular services. The suspension is due to the ongoing closure of Qatari airspace.
The airline has obtained temporary approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to utilize specific, limited operating corridors. These flights mainly aim to facilitate journeys for passengers affected by the disruption. The complete return of Qatar Airways’ scheduled services relies on the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority declaring the safe and full reopening of Qatari airspace by relevant authorities.

Qatar Airways Adjusts Services While Maintaining Connectivity
The interim flight plan covers routes to and from roughly 30 different international destinations across various continents. Flights departing from Doha (DOH) between 13 and 16 March are scheduled for cities such as London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Miami (MIA), Perth (PER), Seoul (ICN), Dhaka (DAC), and Cairo (CAI). Similarly, flights arriving into Doha from 13 to 17 March are planned from locations including Amsterdam (AMS), London (LHR), Madrid (MAD), New York (JFK), Shanghai (PVG), and Mumbai (BOM). Each flight requires specific regulatory approvals and is subject to current airspace conditions.
Passengers can access the latest flight updates and booking options via the Qatar Airways website or app, or through a travel agent. The airline has also arranged specific direct point-to-point flights for eligible passengers, who will be contacted directly. It is important to note that these limited services do not signify a return to regular commercial operations.
Passengers are advised not to arrive at their departure airport without a valid, confirmed ticket. For those with confirmed bookings for travel between 28 February and 22 March 2026, Qatar Airways offers two complimentary date changes, valid for up to 14 days from the original travel date, or a refund for the unused ticket. Detailed information can be found in the airline’s FAQs.
