PATA Youth Symposium 2025 Focuses on Workforce Readiness
The PATA Youth Symposium 2025, hosted by the International College for Sustainability Studies, Srinakharinwirot University (SWUIC) in collaboration with Bangkok University International (BUI), brought together over 100 youths and industry professionals in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 25.
The symposium reflected the Association’s commitment to strengthening the links between education and industry, providing young professionals with the knowledge and tools to navigate their future careers.

PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid said, “The symposium is designed to equip young tourism professionals with insights to prepare for the workforce. Youths are joining as speakers, panellists, and moderators, sharing the stage with industry leaders and mentors. Building a sustainable future requires both sides to work together and exchange ideas that shape tomorrow’s workforce.”

Thanakorn Thongprayoon, Dean of SWUIC, said, “At SWUIC, our mission is to nurture globally minded graduates who are career-ready and committed to sustainability. Hosting this event supports our goal to encourage new ideas, dialogue, and participation from the next generation of tourism leaders.”
PATA Chair Peter Semone, who officiated the symposium alongside Thongprayoon, said, “PATA supports this generation’s journey into the workforce by offering tools and opportunities to stay competitive in a changing industry.
