Nyotel, a unit of NLR Hospitality Pvt Ltd, has announced the start of its hospitality operations, marking its entry into India’s organised midscale hotel segment. The company aims to cater to both business and leisure travellers under its brand positioning, “Stay Beyond Ordinary.”

The launch is being led by Anurag Anand, Chief Operating Officer, and Harsh Vaidya, Chief Business Officer, who together bring experience across the hospitality and retail sectors in India and overseas.

Speaking about the company’s focus, Anurag Anand, COO – Nyotel, said Nyotel was created to address operational and service gaps often seen in hotels across tier-2 and tier-3 cities. He added that the company intends to introduce structured hospitality systems while maintaining pricing suited to domestic and business travellers.

Harsh Vaidya, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer, said the company’s approach is centred on balancing affordability with operational consistency, particularly in emerging travel markets where demand for organised accommodation continues to grow.

Nyotel said its entry into the midscale segment comes at a time when many standalone hotels face operational challenges, while larger branded chains may not always be commercially viable in smaller cities. The company plans to focus on professionally managed hotels supported by local market understanding and operational systems.

As part of its expansion strategy, Nyotel plans to add at least five operational properties annually over the next two years and aims to build a network of 30 hotels by 2031. The company also plans to develop an inventory of 800 to 1,000 rooms across its portfolio.

The expansion roadmap will focus on cities including Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Raipur, Gwalior, Jhansi and Agra, along with other developing business and pilgrimage destinations.

Nyotel stated that its growth strategy will be partnership-led, with an emphasis on operational efficiency, sustainable expansion and long-term value creation for property owners and stakeholders.
