Mammoth Lakes Tourism Appoints Brian Wright as President and CEO

Mammoth Lakes Tourism has appointed Brian Wright as President and Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition for the organization and the Mammoth Lakes community. His appointment follows the departure of John Urdi.

In his new role, Wright will lead the organization’s strategic direction, working with internal teams, the Board of Directors, local government, and regional stakeholders to support destination development. His responsibilities include overseeing destination marketing, partner engagement, and initiatives aimed at supporting the local tourism economy while balancing community priorities and long-term sustainability.

Wright brings over 25 years of experience across destination marketing, tourism, and the outdoor sector. His background includes roles with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Yosemite National Park, Visit California, Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, and Mammoth Lakes Tourism.

His appointment comes as the organization continues to focus on strengthening its position as a year-round destination, with an emphasis on sustainable growth and community engagement.
