WelcomHotel by ITC Hotels, Mohali Chandigarh has appointed Amit Sondhi as Pre-Opening Chief Engineer. The appointment comes as the property prepares for its launch, with a focus on establishing engineering systems and operational frameworks.

In this role, Amit Sondhi will oversee engineering operations during the pre-opening phase, including setting up technical infrastructure, implementing maintenance systems, and ensuring operational readiness. His responsibilities also include establishing safety protocols, compliance standards, and engineering processes aligned with the hotel’s requirements.

He brings 16 years of experience in hospitality engineering and technical operations, with involvement in pre-opening projects and property-level engineering management. His professional background includes associations with Lemon Tree Hotels, Sarovar Hotels, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada Hotel, and Best Western.

Sondhi also has experience in sustainability initiatives, including work aligned with IGBC and GRESB frameworks, as well as environmental compliance and waste management practices.

His appointment is part of the hotel’s ongoing efforts to build its leadership team ahead of opening, with a focus on operational readiness and infrastructure planning.
