Lunar New Year Celebrations at Hotels and Resorts Across Asia

As 2026 approaches, marking the Year of the Horse, hotels and resorts throughout Asia are preparing a range of dining, cultural, wellness, and family-oriented events to celebrate Lunar New Year, including Chinese New Year and Tet in Vietnam. Below is a curated list of properties showcasing their programs around February 17.

Koh Samui, Thailand

Banyan Tree Samui

The beachfront resort will host a Lunar New Year evening barbecue on February 17, featuring a Mongolian–Chinese menu alongside international grill selections. The dinner will be complemented by a fire show and live music on the beach. The event runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Cam Ranh & Mui Ne, Vietnam

The Anam Cam Ranh and The Anam Mui Ne

Both resorts will mark Tet with traditional ceremonies, including the planting of Cay Neu bamboo poles and dragon dances. From February 16–22, guests can enjoy Tet set menus, buffet dinners, workshops, children’s activities, wellness experiences, and cultural programming reflecting Vietnamese traditions.

Hong Kong

The Hari Hong Kong

The hotel is offering a “Better Together Family Package” for Lunar New Year, featuring family-friendly room configurations, daily breakfast, children’s activity kits, and flexible check-in and check-out, subject to availability.

Mai Restaurant & Bar will present a Thai–Chinese à la carte menu from February 17–23, paired with Chinese teas and city views. The menu highlights traditional flavours interpreted through regional ingredients.

Alma Resort Cam Ranh

From February 16–21, Alma will host Tet activities across its resort spaces, including cultural performances, workshops, festive dining, wellness sessions, and children’s programmes celebrating family connection and renewal.

TIA Wellness Resort

The resort will observe Tet with reflection workshops, lantern ceremonies, yoga and meditation sessions, dragon dances, calligraphy activities, and cultural discussions focused on Vietnamese New Year traditions.

Krabi, Thailand

On February 17, the resort will host a beachfront Chinese New Year barbecue featuring live music and a fire performance, set against views of the Andaman Sea.
