APPOINTMENT
Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort has appointed Zee Bassila as its new general manager, strengthening its leadership team as the Fujairah-based property continues to evolve following its recent relaunch.
Zee Bassila brings more than 25 years of international experience, having worked across the Middle East, Europe and North America. He has held senior leadership roles with Marriott International, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, IHG and The Ritz‑Carlton, spanning general management, commercial strategy and multiple pre‑opening assignments.
Over the course of his career, Zee has led both luxury and lifestyle properties, as well as complex multi‑hotel operations, with a focus on revenue growth, brand elevation and guest satisfaction.
In his new role at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Zee Bassila will oversee the next phase of Le Méridien Al Aqah’s development, guiding the resort as itstrengthens its position as a flagship destination on the UAE’s East Coast.
His key mandates include enhancing the property’s sense of place, developing high‑performing teams and elevating the guest experiences.
