IHG Noted Collection Expands with Theobalds Estate in the UK

IHG Noted Collection Adds Theobalds Estate in Hertfordshire
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Theobalds Estate, Noted Collection by IHG, in the UK. The agreement marks the first hotel to join the Noted Collection brand since its introduction earlier this year.
Located in Hertfordshire, Theobalds Estate will become part of IHG’s premium collection portfolio while retaining its individual identity and heritage. The property is owned by Surya Hotels, part of Flying Trade Group, and is set within 55 acres of historic parkland near Theobalds Grove, approximately 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

The partly Grade II-listed estate, previously an 18th-century residence associated with the Royal Family, will undergo a significant refurbishment programme before joining the Noted Collection portfolio. The redevelopment will focus on preserving the property’s character while introducing new facilities and guest experiences.
The updated property will include wellness and leisure facilities such as a spa, fitness centre and dedicated wellness spaces offering therapies and performance-focused programmes. Additional facilities will include a renovated outdoor pool area, dining spaces and recreational amenities designed to support leisure and wellness experiences.
IHG also announced that Surya Hotels has signed the voco Thatcher’s Hotel in Surrey as part of its growing relationship with the hospitality group. The property will undergo refurbishment before joining the voco portfolio.
Theobalds Estate, Noted Collection by IHG, is expected to open in 2027 as part of the company’s broader plans to expand its premium hotel portfolio globally.
