W Hotels Opens W Riyadh – KAFD
W Riyadh – KAFD Brings the W Hotels Brand to Saudi Arabia
W Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has opened W Riyadh – KAFD, marking the brand’s entry into Saudi Arabia. Located in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), the hotel combines contemporary design, dining venues, event spaces and the brand’s signature Whatever/Whenever service.
Design Inspired by Saudi Heritage
Designed by LW Design, the hotel reflects elements of Saudi culture through references to Najdi textiles, Al Sadu weaving patterns, and materials inspired by the country’s desert and mountain landscapes.
The lobby features a six-metre tapestry by Saudi artist Abdulnasser Gharem, alongside gathering spaces, sculptural installations and design elements inspired by traditional weaving techniques. The W Lounge also draws inspiration from Bedouin gathering spaces.
Rooms and Suites
The hotel offers 210 guestrooms, including 17 suites, two penthouse suites and the W Penthouse.
Guestrooms feature geometric textiles, locally inspired artwork and interiors finished with green, ruby, gold and bronze accents. The W Penthouse includes two bedrooms, living and dining areas, a kitchenette, an office, a gym, a steam room, and a sauna, with views across Riyadh.
Dining and Social Spaces
W Riyadh – KAFD includes several dining venues designed for different occasions throughout the day.
- Sira serves Latin American-inspired cuisine prepared in an open kitchen.
- Beni offers speciality coffee and artisanal ice cream in a relaxed café setting.
- WET Deck provides an outdoor space with Mediterranean-inspired dishes, private cabanas and poolside seating.
- Sahari, an outdoor lounge scheduled to open later this year, will host live performances and social events.
Wellness and Events
The hotel features the brand’s AWAY Spa, a fitness studio under the FIT concept, and a range of meeting and event facilities.
Its business and event offering includes 15 flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom designed to accommodate corporate and social gatherings.

Commenting on the opening, Helen Leighton, Vice President, Luxury Brands, EMEA, Marriott International, said the launch marks W Hotels’ entry into Saudi Arabia and reflects the brand’s continued growth across the Middle East.
