IHCL Signs Tree of Life Resort in Sakaleshpur, Karnataka
The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Tree of Life resort in Sakaleshpur, Karnataka, further expanding its presence in the state.

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said that Sakaleshpur is an emerging destination in Karnataka known for its heritage and plantation landscapes. She noted that as tourism activity grows in the region, demand for experiential and boutique accommodations is increasing. The signing represents IHCL’s entry into an underrepresented micro-market and aligns with its strategy to strengthen its boutique portfolio along the Western Ghats. She also confirmed that IHCL has partnered with Mystica Retreats LLP for the project.

Located in the Western Ghats, the 40-key Tree of Life Sakaleshpur resort will be set within a forested environment with a perennial stream. The property will also offer curated experiences focused on nature and relaxation.
Mr. Sharanabasava Meti and Mr. Kemparaju of Mystica Retreats LLP said they look forward to working with IHCL to develop a retreat for travellers seeking a quiet and nature-oriented stay.

Sakaleshpur, a hill destination in Karnataka, is known for trekking routes, heritage sites and plantation tourism. Key attractions in the region include Manjarabad Fort, Kaginahare Fort, Bisle Ghat Viewpoint, Jenukal Gudda and the Kaginahare Forest ruins.
