IHCL Signs Gateway Hotel and Convention Centre Near Bengaluru Airport

New Gateway Hotel in North Bengaluru to Support Corporate and MICE Demand

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Gateway Hotel and Convention Centre in Kanamangala, Devanahalli, near Kempegowda International Airport, Karnataka. The project will be developed as a greenfield property in North Bengaluru.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said Bengaluru continues to see steady growth supported by its business ecosystem and ongoing infrastructure development. She noted that areas around the airport have evolved into a key growth corridor, and the signing aligns with IHCL’s strategy to expand its presence in this micro-market while addressing demand from corporate and MICE segments. The company is partnering with Hombale Group for the development.

The proposed 300-key Gateway Hotel and Convention Centre will include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, a speciality restaurant and a lounge. Guests will also have access to a gym and swimming pool. The convention centre will feature a range of banquet and meeting spaces, including a large hall spanning over 16,000 sq ft, designed to accommodate conferences and social events.

Shailaja Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Group said the partnership with IHCL reflects the region’s ongoing development and demand for hospitality infrastructure in North Bengaluru.

Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, remains an important economic centre with industries such as information technology, biotechnology, aerospace and manufacturing contributing to its growth.

With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Bengaluru will increase to 20 hotels, including 11 currently under development.
