Hyatt and Homeinns to launch Hyatt Studios extended-stay hotels in China
Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Homeinns Hotel Group have signed a strategic master franchise agreement to introduce Hyatt Studios hotels in China. The collaboration will expand Hyatt’s presence in the upper-midscale segment through its extended-stay brand in China.
The partnership will leverage the strengths of both companies to develop Hyatt Studios hotels across key business and travel destinations. Under the agreement, Homeinns plans to open 50 Hyatt Studios hotels over the next several years and build a pipeline for future growth across China.
Part of Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio, Hyatt Studios is designed for extended stays, offering studio-style rooms with kitchenettes and dedicated workspaces. The Essentials portfolio also includes Caption by Hyatt, Unscripted by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Select, and UrCove, catering to business and leisure travellers seeking consistent accommodations and modern amenities.

The Hyatt Studios brand emphasizes scalable development and an efficient operating model that can adapt to local market needs. It also integrates with the World of Hyatt loyalty program, providing members access to the brand’s accommodations and amenities.
Stephen Ho, President – Greater China and Growth, Asia Pacific, Hyatt, said: “This agreement with Homeinns Hotel Group enables us to expand Hyatt’s brand and operations in China and offer more stay options across cities in alignment with our growth strategy.”
David Sun, Chairman & CEO of Homeinns Hotel Group, said: “Our collaboration with Hyatt is based on shared values and long-term goals. Building on our previous partnership with UrCove, we are now extending into the extended-stay segment with Hyatt Studios to serve the needs of Chinese travelers.”
