Hyatt Expands Hyatt Select Brand in China Through Dossen Group Agreement

Hyatt Select to Enter Chinese Mainland Through Dossen Partnership
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced a master franchise agreement with Dossen Group through its subsidiary Huanyue International Holdings (Hainan) Co., Ltd., to develop and operate Hyatt Select hotels across the Chinese mainland.
The agreement marks the introduction of the Hyatt Select brand in China and expands Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio in the region. The collaboration combines Hyatt’s international hospitality network with Dossen Group’s local operational presence and development capabilities.
Designed for travellers seeking practical and comfortable stays, Hyatt Select focuses on convenience, consistency and functional design. The brand also connects guests to the World of Hyatt loyalty programme, which currently has more than 66 million members globally.
As part of Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio, Hyatt Select is built around an operating model intended to support flexible development opportunities, including new-build properties and hotel conversions. The brand also aims to provide owners with access to Hyatt’s commercial and distribution platforms.

Stephen Ho, President – Greater China and Growth, Asia Pacific at Hyatt, said the agreement supports Hyatt’s expansion plans in China and strengthens the company’s ability to cater to different travel needs across the market.
Xinhua Cheng, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Dossen Group, said the partnership combines Hyatt’s global hospitality systems with Dossen’s understanding of the Chinese market and nationwide operational network.
The launch comes as China’s upper-midscale hotel segment continues to evolve, with growing demand for recognised hotel brands offering reliable accommodation and value-driven experiences.
Owen Xing, Executive Managing Director, Growth & Operations, Greater China at Hyatt, said Hyatt Select hotels are designed to meet the expectations of modern travellers through practical design and consistent service standards.
Ji Hongjun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Huanyue International Holdings (Hainan) Co., Ltd., added that the collaboration would support the long-term development of the Hyatt Select brand in China by combining international standards with local market expertise.
