Shyam Nair Appointed Multi-Property HR Director for Kochi Marriott Cluster

Kochi Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport, and Port Muziris a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Kochi have appointed Shyam Nair as Multi-Property Human Resources Director.

Shyam Nair brings over three decades of professional experience, including a 20-year tenure with the Indian Air Force followed by 16 years in the hospitality industry. He holds an MBA in HR and Operations and has developed expertise in leadership, team management, and organisational development.

At Kochi Marriott, he previously served as Multi-Property Director of Loss Prevention before transitioning into human resources, where he has contributed to recruitment, training, and strategic HR management across the cluster.

In his new role, Shyam will oversee key HR functions including recruitment, compensation, employee relations, training and development, and retention strategies across the three properties.

He has also been actively involved in sustainability initiatives, leading efforts in waste reduction and community engagement aligned with Marriott International’s broader environmental goals.

Shyam’s appointment reflects the company’s focus on strengthening leadership across multiple properties while enhancing people practices and organisational development.
