Hilton Opens Quang Hanh Onsen Resort in Northern Vietnam
Hilton has announced the opening of Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort, located in the Quang Hanh valley in Cam Pha, Quang Ninh province. The resort is centred on the area’s natural hot mineral springs and offers an onsen-focused stay experience in northern Vietnam. This opening marks the third Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the country.
Located approximately 30 minutes by road from Ha Long and 2.5 hours from Hanoi, the resort is surrounded by mountain landscapes and sits close to attractions such as Long Tien Pagoda, Bao Hai Linh Thong Pagoda, and Sung Sot Cave.

Alexandra Murray, Area Vice President and Regional Head of South East Asia, Hilton, said the opening supports Hilton’s continued expansion in Vietnam and reflects growing interest in destinations beyond major gateways. She noted that Quang Hanh’s natural hot mineral springs form the foundation of the resort’s wellness-led offering.

Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort features 178 villas and 38 rooms, all equipped with private onsens and access to hot and cold saunas. Accommodation options range from rooms and suites to two- to four-bedroom villas, sized from 110 to 550 square metres. Two larger Presidential Villas span 1,250 square metres and include five bedrooms, private dining areas and entertainment facilities. At launch, 50 villas and all guest rooms are available, with additional villas scheduled to open later in the year.

Vincent Ong, Vice President, Full Service Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said the resort introduces Quang Hanh to a wider audience while combining Hilton’s service standards with onsen traditions. Each guest room includes a private onsen, with further access to mineral bathing facilities across the resort.

Guests can also access Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, which features 27 onsen baths and 18 additional baths across male, female and mixed areas, along with sauna and spa facilities. Other amenities include the Eforea Spa, an indoor swimming pool overlooking the surrounding landscape, a fitness centre and a Kids’ Club.

The resort offers meeting and event facilities, including six private dining rooms and two meeting rooms, suitable for small gatherings and corporate functions.

Dining options include Genji, a Japanese restaurant with sushi and teppanyaki counters, and Genji Bar, offering drinks and light bites with panoramic views. The all-day dining venue, Kitchen Craft, is currently under renovation and is expected to reopen later in the year.

Vietnam is currently Hilton’s third-largest market in Southeast Asia, with 21 operating hotels. The company plans to further expand its presence in the country. The opening of Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort adds to Hilton’s footprint in northern Vietnam, alongside properties such as Tru by Hilton Ha Long Hon Gai Centre.

Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, Deputy CEO of Sun Group and CEO of its Entertainment & Hospitality Division, said the project reflects a shared focus on destination development that balances international standards with local values.

Guests staying at the resort can access benefits through Hilton Honors, including earning Points and booking flexibility. To mark the opening, Hilton Honors members can earn an additional 1,000 bonus points per night on stays of two nights or more booked between 15 February and 31 July 2026.
