Heathrow Introduces Doris and Edward Bears in Airport Shops
Limited-Edition Bears Available for Purchase, Free for Select Passengers on 25 March
Passengers travelling through Heathrow on 25 March may receive a small surprise if their name is Doris or Edward. The airport is introducing its bear characters, Doris and Edward Bair, in retail stores for the first time, with a limited number of complimentary giveaways for passengers who share their names.

From 25 March, the bears will be available for purchase at World Duty Free and Glorious Britain stores across Heathrow, as well as through the airport’s Reserve & Collect service. On the same day, passengers named Doris or Edward can collect one bear free of charge, subject to availability, by presenting a valid passport or boarding pass at terminal information desks.

Doris and Edward were first introduced in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas campaign and have since appeared in multiple airport advertisements centred around travel, family and reunions. Their return in a recent campaign released in October 2025 marked their continued presence in Heathrow’s brand storytelling.

Commenting on the retail launch, Fraser Brown, Retail Director at Heathrow, said the introduction of the bears into airport stores reflects passenger interest in the characters and aligns with the airport’s milestone year of connecting travellers.
Heathrow sells more than 82,000 soft toys annually, with higher demand during the summer travel season. Popular items include London-themed toys, Harrods bears and Paddington Bear merchandise.

The Doris and Edward bears are priced at £27.99 and will be available exclusively at Heathrow through its retail outlets and Reserve & Collect platform.
