Spectacular Flypast Marks UAE Eid Al Etihad at Dubai 7s

Spectators at the Emirates Dubai 7s witnessed an Emirates A380 low-level flypast over The Sevens Stadium to mark the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad.

Departing from Dubai International Airport, the aircraft approached the stadium at 4:30 pm, passing at an altitude of approximately 500 feet and drawing the attention of fans attending the sports and entertainment event. The flight was led by Captain Mubarak Al Mheiri, Deputy Chief Pilot Airbus, supported by Captain Khalid Bin Sultan, Captain Philippe Lombet, and Captain Nabil Al Rustamani.

This year’s flypast continues Emirates’ tradition of recognising Eid Al Etihad at the Emirates Dubai 7s, a tournament with more than five decades of history on Dubai’s sporting calendar. The 2025 edition brings together rugby fixtures, multiple sports competitions, and a range of music and family activities throughout the Eid Al Etihad weekend.
