Delta to Introduce Embraer Jets on Aspen Routes This November
Starting in November, Delta, through its Delta Connection partner SkyWest, will replace the CRJ-700 aircraft with Embraer jets on routes to Aspen, aligning this change with the upcoming winter ski season.

“Aspen is a well-known ski destination, and we want the travel experience to complement the journey,” said Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning.
“This aircraft change addresses customer needs and enhances the travel experience from departure to arrival.”
Key Changes for Travellers:
Increased Gear Capacity
The larger cargo hold of the Embraer jets will reduce bulk-out issues, making it easier to bring skis, snowboards, and winter equipment.Improved Baggage Handling
Enhanced baggage capacity and handling will better support travellers during peak ski season.Updated Cabin Design
Features include larger windows, quieter cabins, and more personal space compared to the CRJ-700.Operational Reliability
The Embraer jets are suited for mountain operations, supporting performance in Aspen’s terrain and weather conditions.
The change will apply to all SkyWest flights operating as Delta Connection from Atlanta (ATL) and Los Angeles (LAX) to Aspen (ASE).
