Delta Adds Extra Bay Area Flights for Fans Attending the Big Game

Delta Air Lines is adding additional flights to help fans travel to the Bay Area from Boston, Seattle, and New York ahead of the big game. Customers flying on game day can also watch the action live on seatback screens across much of Delta’s domestic fleet.

Amy Martin, Vice President – Network Planning at Delta, said moments like major sporting events drive increased travel demand, and the airline is adjusting its schedule to provide more departure options and additional Bay Area access points to keep customers moving smoothly through its domestic network.

Additional Boston–San Francisco Flights

From the East Coast, Delta is increasing nonstop service between Boston (BOS) and San Francisco (SFO). The schedule will expand from two to three daily flights on February 6, with four return flights operating on February 9. The added capacity gives travellers more flexibility when planning coast-to-coast trips during the event period.

Expanded Seattle–Bay Area Service

Delta is also increasing capacity on the Seattle (SEA)-Bay Area route. The airline will operate five daily flights from SEA to SFO and add an additional nonstop return flight on February 9, bringing the total to six daily flights from Seattle.

Delta continues to offer benefits for Seahawks fans enrolled in its 12Status SkyMiles program, including mileage earning tied to team performance and priority boarding when departing SEA. Members also receive select retail discounts during the 2025–2026 season at official Seahawks Pro Shop locations in Renton and at Lumen Field.

For travellers seeking an alternative Bay Area gateway, Delta operates four daily nonstop flights from SEA to San Jose (SJC), offering another convenient arrival option near the event location.

New York–San Jose Nonstop Service

To further support demand, Delta has added nonstop service between New York (JFK) and San Jose (SJC) on February 6, with a return flight on February 9. These flights will be operated using Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Watch the Game Live While Flying

Customers travelling during the game can still follow the action in the air. Many Delta aircraft are equipped with live satellite TV, allowing passengers to watch the game on seatback screens while flying within the continental United States.
