Courtyard by Marriott Opens First Hotel in Andhra Pradesh with Tirupati Launch

New hotel brings branded hospitality to a key pilgrimage destination in India

Courtyard by Marriott, part of Marriott International’s portfolio, has announced the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Tirupati, marking the brand’s entry into Andhra Pradesh.

Located in one of India’s prominent pilgrimage cities, Tirupati attracts a large number of visitors each year due to the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The hotel is positioned to cater to both pilgrims and business travellers, offering a stay experience that balances comfort with functionality.

The property is accessible by road and is approximately 15 minutes from Tirupati railway station and 20 minutes from Tirupati Airport.

Accommodation and facilities designed for varied traveller needs

The hotel features 130 rooms and suites, designed with a focus on space, natural light and practicality. Each room includes ergonomic workspaces, high-speed connectivity and furnishings intended to support both relaxation and productivity.

Facilities at the hotel include a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness centre, providing options for guests to unwind or maintain their routines during their stay.

Dining options and event spaces

Dining at the hotel includes three outlets offering a mix of local and international options. The all-day dining restaurant serves a selection of global dishes alongside regional Andhra cuisine. A lounge space offers beverages and small plates, while a poolside venue provides a more informal setting.

For meetings and events, the hotel offers approximately 6,220 square feet of event space, including a pillarless ballroom and additional flexible venues. These spaces are designed to accommodate corporate meetings, weddings and social gatherings.

Expansion aligned with regional growth plans

According to Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President – South Asia, Marriott International, the opening reflects the company’s continued expansion in India, particularly in destinations with steady travel demand.

Samata Danday Chand, General Manager of the hotel, noted that the property aims to provide a comfortable and well-connected environment for travellers visiting Tirupati.

Integration with Marriott Bonvoy

Courtyard by Marriott Tirupati is part of Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn and redeem points during their stay and access features through the Marriott Bonvoy mobile application.
