City Express by Marriott Expands into Asia Pacific with Osaka Openings

Marriott Bonvoy has announced the opening of two new properties in Osaka, marking the debut of the City Express by Marriott brand in Asia Pacific. The launch includes City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya and City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South, introducing the brand’s midscale hospitality concept to one of Japan’s busiest urban destinations.

The opening forms part of Marriott International’s plans to expand its midscale hotel portfolio across the Asia Pacific, excluding China. With Japan continuing to attract domestic and international travellers, the new hotels are positioned to cater to guests seeking practical, well-connected accommodation in central Osaka.

City Express by Marriott focuses on simple, functional stays for both business and leisure travellers. The Osaka properties offer guestrooms with essential amenities, breakfast services, complimentary tea and coffee facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi and flexible workspaces.

Welcome to City Express By Marriott Osaka Shin-Imamiya

City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya features 100 guestrooms and is located adjacent to Shin-Imamiya Station, offering direct rail access to Kansai International Airport and major city districts including Namba, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Nearby attractions include Tsutenkaku Tower, Tennoji Zoo and Kuromon Market.

Meanwhile, City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South offers 143 guestrooms and is situated near Hanazonochō Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line. Guests can easily access areas such as Tennoji, Osaka Castle Park, and Osaka Dome, while Kansai International Airport is approximately 45 minutes away by train.
