APPOINTMENT

IHG Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mark Sergot as Chief Development Officer (CDO), Americas.
In this role, Sergot will lead the company’s Americas Development organisation, including its existing leadership team, and oversee growth initiatives across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Sergot brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background spanning sales leadership and commercial strategy across global hotel organisations. He joined IHG in 2020 as Vice President of Global Sales Operations & Enablement. Since 2022, he has served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, where he led IHG’s Global Sales Organisation, overseeing the Americas and Global Accounts teams. In this capacity, he was responsible for sales strategy, operations and events, while working closely with regional sales leaders worldwide.
As Chief Development Officer, Americas, Sergot will focus on expanding IHG’s hotel deal pipeline across its Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, Essentials and Suites portfolios. His responsibilities will also include strengthening owner relationships and identifying development opportunities in strategic growth markets across the region.

Prior to joining IHG, Sergot spent more than 16 years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He also represents IHG on the Board of the U.S. Travel Association.
