Mahi Teja Takes Charge as General Manager of ibis Coimbatore City Centre

ibis has announced the appointment of Mahi Teja as General Manager of ibis Coimbatore City Centre, strengthening the property’s leadership team as it continues to serve one of South India’s key business and industrial hubs.

With nearly 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Teja brings a diverse background spanning sales, commercial functions, rooms division and hotel operations. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading hospitality brands, including Accor and Hyatt Hotels, building expertise across multiple areas of hotel management.

He began his hospitality career in sales before taking on wider responsibilities across operational and commercial functions within the Accor network. His experience in revenue management, commercial strategy, guest services and hotel operations has helped shape a leadership approach focused on performance, guest satisfaction and team development.

In his new role, Teja will oversee the strategic and operational direction of ibis Coimbatore City Centre. He will be responsible for driving business growth, enhancing guest experiences, strengthening team performance and maintaining operational standards across the hotel.

Committed to professional development, Teja has completed several leadership programmes through Accor Academy, including the International Emerging Leaders Programme (IELP) in 2020, the General Leadership Programme (GLP) in 2023 and the MEA APAC Master’s Programme – General Manager in Making in 2025.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Hotel Operations Manager at ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road, where he contributed to operational performance, guest satisfaction, revenue growth and team development. He has also held the position of General Manager at Fortune Select OMR Chennai.
