This summer, the American Airlines CR Smith Museum is presenting a new exhibition, Bricks Now Boarding: American Airlines in LEGO Bricks, a creative look at air travel through detailed LEGO displays.

Spanning 1,500 square feet, the exhibition provides a family-friendly way to explore aviation. Visitors can view custom LEGO-built replicas of American Airlines aircraft, an Admirals Club lounge, and popular destinations such as London and Rio de Janeiro. The exhibit also highlights different aviation careers, all constructed entirely from LEGO bricks. A hands-on build zone allows visitors to create their own aviation-themed LEGO designs.

The exhibit was created by LEGO exhibition artist Warren Elsmore, who has developed large-scale displays around the world. This installation combines aviation elements with LEGO craftsmanship to offer a fresh way to experience the world of flight.

“We’ve seen strong interest from visitors of all ages,” said Uli Das, Executive Director of the CR Smith Museum.

“Bricks Now Boarding uses thoughtful design to connect people with aviation and spark imagination.”

Aligned with the museum’s mission to introduce youth to careers in aviation and STEM, the exhibit complements its summer camp programming focused on flight mechanics and hands-on learning.

Bricks Now Boarding: American Airlines in LEGO Bricks is now open during regular hours: Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available on the museum’s website.
