Bird Foods Launches The Indian Stories and Ka-Ching in Mumbai

Entry into Maharashtra Marks Expansion Across Western India
Bird Foods, the QSR arm of Bird Group, has entered Maharashtra with the launch of its brands, The Indian Stories and Ka-Ching, at Commerz III, Oberoi Garden City in Mumbai. The dual launch marks the company’s first presence in the state and forms part of its expansion plans in western India.
Located within a corporate and technology hub, the outlets are designed to serve professionals working in business districts, offering quick-service dining options suited to workplace environments.
The Indian Stories introduces a menu focused on South Indian and coastal cuisine, with dishes such as Benne Dosa forming a key part of the offering. The concept centres on regional flavours and traditional recipes adapted for urban dining spaces.
Ka-Ching presents a menu of Asian dishes in a quick-service format, adding a second dining option within the same location and supporting a multi-brand approach.

Rahul Sehgal, Business Head, Bird Foods, said Mumbai is a key market for the company’s growth, with plans to expand across commercial developments, educational institutions and highway locations.
Bird Foods currently operates in 30 locations across India and plans to add 10 more outlets by the end of 2026.
The launch reflects changing workplace dining habits, with increased demand for convenient food options within office and technology hubs.
