Air India and Air India Express Continue Jeddah and Muscat Flights; Additional UAE Services Planned
Air India and Air India Express will continue operating scheduled flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat on 9 March 2026, as airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman remains open.
Together, the two airlines will operate 10 scheduled flights to and from Jeddah, while Air India Express will operate 14 flights connecting Muscat with several Indian cities.
Air India will operate one round-trip each between Delhi and Jeddah and between Mumbai and Jeddah. Air India Express will operate one round-trip each between Jeddah and Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kozhikode.
For Muscat services, Air India Express will operate one round-trip each from Delhi, Mumbai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli, along with two round-trips between Kochi and Muscat.

In addition to scheduled services, the Air India group plans to operate 32 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 9 March 2026 to assist travellers returning to India. These flights are subject to slot availability and operational conditions at the respective airports and are being operated with the required approvals from Indian and local authorities.
Air India will operate 10 additional flights to and from Dubai, including three round-trip flights from Mumbai and two from Delhi. Air India Express will operate one round-trip each from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Dubai.
Air India Express will also operate additional flights to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah from several Indian cities.

Cancellation of Other West Asia Flights

Scheduled Air India group flights to and from several other destinations in West Asia have been cancelled until 13 March 2026. Passengers booked on affected flights can rebook for a later date at no additional charge or request a full refund.
Air India passengers may submit rebooking or cancellation requests through the airline’s website or by contacting the customer support hotline. Air India Express passengers travelling from the UAE may also transfer their bookings to other available flights from UAE cities to destinations in India at no additional charge.
For example, a passenger booked on a cancelled Dubai–Jaipur flight may transfer the booking to a Ras Al Khaimah–Delhi flight without paying an extra fee.
Both airlines are contacting affected passengers using the mobile numbers registered with their bookings to provide rebooking options. Passengers are advised to ensure their contact details are up to date to receive these notifications.
Air India Express passengers can also rebook their flights using the airline’s digital assistant, Tia, on WhatsApp. The group continues to evaluate opportunities to operate additional ad hoc flights to and from destinations in West Asia, subject to operational conditions.
