Welcomhotel Ayodhya Signed by ITC Hotels in Uttar Pradesh
Welcomhotel Ayodhya to Add 143 Rooms in Spiritual Tourism Hub
ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a management agreement for Welcomhotel Ayodhya, a 143-room hotel that will further expand the company’s presence in Uttar Pradesh.
The project adds to the growing portfolio of the Welcomhotel brand and follows recent signings in destinations such as Bodh Gaya, Shirdi and Vrindavan. Located on a four-acre site, the hotel is being developed to cater to the increasing number of visitors travelling to Ayodhya, one of India’s key spiritual tourism destinations.
The property has been designed to reflect the city’s cultural and historical identity, with architectural elements inspired by Ayodhya’s heritage and traditions.
Upon completion, Welcomhotel Ayodhya will offer guestrooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant and more than 11,000 square feet of indoor banqueting space. The hotel is expected to cater to weddings, social functions, celebrations and business events. Additional facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.

Commenting on the signing, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said the growth of domestic travel and interest in spiritual destinations continues to create opportunities for hospitality development across India. He noted that the project aligns with the company’s asset-right expansion strategy and its focus on destinations with growing tourism demand.
Ashwani Garg and Vishal Nand, Partners of Kiraan Planners & Project Developers LLP, said the partnership with ITC Hotels aims to provide quality hospitality experiences for pilgrims and travellers visiting Ayodhya.
Ayodhya has witnessed increased tourism activity in recent years, supported by infrastructure development, improved connectivity and urban expansion. The growth in visitor numbers has contributed to rising demand for organised hospitality accommodation across the city.
The signing of Welcomhotel Ayodhya reflects ITC Hotels’ continued focus on expanding its footprint in cultural, heritage and pilgrimage destinations across India.
