Avincis Expands Fleet with Up to 15 Airbus H145 Helicopters
Avincis Helicopter Agreement Supports Emergency and Offshore Operations
Avincis and Airbus Helicopters have signed an agreement for up to 15 Airbus H145 helicopters, supporting the continued expansion and modernization of Avincis’ operational fleet across Europe.
The new helicopters will be deployed across Avincis’ network in the Nordic region, Italy and Spain, supporting Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), offshore transportation and other specialised aviation missions.
The agreement strengthens a long-standing relationship between the two companies and reflects ongoing investment in aircraft capable of supporting emergency response and critical transport operations in diverse environments.

John Boag, Chief Executive Officer of Avincis Group, said the H145 remains a key aircraft for the company’s mission-critical operations due to its reliability and operational performance.
He noted that the additional helicopters will support Avincis’ efforts to provide emergency medical services, community support operations and offshore transportation while continuing the company’s fleet renewal strategy.

Matthieu Louvot, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters, said the agreement highlights the versatility of the H145 platform across multiple mission profiles.
He added that the aircraft can be used for emergency medical services, offshore energy support and a variety of specialised operations, making it suitable for the diverse requirements of Avincis’ network.
Supporting Critical Aviation Services Across Europe
Avincis provides aerial emergency services and specialised aviation operations across several international markets. The company operates a fleet of more than 220 aircraft and employs over 2,400 personnel, including pilots, engineers and operational crews.
Its operations span Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Sweden and Finland, with additional activities in Mozambique and Chile.
Airbus H145 in Service Worldwide
The Airbus H145 family has become a widely used helicopter platform across emergency medical, law enforcement, search-and-rescue, and utility operations.
More than 1,800 H145 family helicopters are currently in service worldwide, accumulating over 8.5 million flight hours.
The aircraft is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and features a Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system alongside Airbus’ Helionix digital avionics suite. The H145 also incorporates a four-axis autopilot system designed to enhance operational safety and reduce pilot workload.
The latest agreement further strengthens its operational capabilities while expanding the H145’s presence across Europe’s emergency and offshore aviation sectors.
