Deepika Tiwari Upadhyay Appointed Director of Sales – Commercial at IHCL’s Eternity Kanpur

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has appointed Deepika Tiwari Upadhyay as Director of Sales – Commercial at Eternity Kanpur, IHCL SeleQtions.

In her new role, Upadhyay will be responsible for revenue growth, client relationship management, and business development across corporate, MICE, and social segments. Her scope also includes strengthening corporate and leisure sales frameworks, supporting market penetration, and contributing to regional commercial performance.

Upadhyay brings over 13 years of experience in hospitality sales and commercial operations across luxury and mid-scale hotel segments. Her expertise includes sales strategy, revenue management, corporate partnerships, and business development.

This appointment marks her return to IHCL, where she previously spent nearly six years with Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces in Visakhapatnam. During this period, she developed her foundation in hospitality sales and commercial functions.

Prior to rejoining IHCL, she served as Director of Sales at Louvre Hotels Group and as Associate Director of Sales at Clarks Group of Hotels. Her professional experience also includes roles at Lemon Tree Hotels, where she received the High Achiever Award for FY 2022–23, and Hilton Garden Inn Lucknow, where she was recognised multiple times as Sales Person of the Month.

Earlier in her career, she was associated with IHG Hotels & Resorts as part of a pre-opening team in the Greater Kolkata area, where she contributed to establishing sales operations ahead of launch.

Her experience spans sales management, strategic account management, commercial operations, corporate relations, localised business planning, and team leadership.
