Wajeed Bagwan Appointed as New General Manager at Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru

APPOINTMENT

Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City has announced the appointment of Wajeed Bagwan as General Manager.

With over three decades of distinguished hospitality experience across India and the Middle East, Mr. Bagwan will lead the property’s operations and strategic vision as it establishes itself as the city’s premier choice for long-stay travellers.

Mr. Bagwan’s illustrious career includes leadership roles with globally renowned hotel groups such as Taj Hotels, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Group, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, and Oakwood Worldwide Inc. He has successfully guided the pre-opening and launch of multiple award-winning properties in Dubai, UAE. Notably, he previously led Oakwood Bangalore, the property that has since been transformed into Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City, making his return to this especially significant.

A graduate of the prestigious General Manager’s Program at Cornell University, Mr. Bagwan has also contributed to the development of the wider hospitality industry, serving as a team leader and assessor for the Dubai Quality Award and the Dubai Human Development Award in partnership with the Government of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development.

On his appointment, Mr. Bagwan shared:

In his role as General Manager, Mr. Bagwan will oversee all aspects of the property’s operations, with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and strengthening Marriott’s brand presence in Bengaluru’s competitive hospitality landscape.
