WelcomHeritage Introduces Srinagar Stays for the 2026 Tulip Festival
As the Kashmir Valley welcomes spring, WelcomHeritage Hotels has introduced curated stays across two properties in Srinagar: WelcomHeritage Grand in Parraypora and WelcomHeritage Gurkha House Boats on Nageen Lake. The offering aligns with the 2026 Tulip Festival, when the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden blooms with around 1.8 million flowers.
Srinagar stays shaped by city access and lakeside living
During these two stays, WelcomHeritage offers different ways to experience Srinagar, one set in a city hotel and the other focused on the region’s houseboat tradition.
Located in Parraypora, WelcomHeritage Grand provides access to important parts of Srinagar, including the airport. Situated away from busy areas, the property offers a quieter environment for travellers. The hotel features suites with woodwork and design elements inspired by local craftsmanship. A Kahwa Lounge is part of the guest experience, where traditional saffron-infused tea is served.
Houseboat experience on Nageen Lake

On Nageen Lake, WelcomHeritage Gurkha House Boats reflect Srinagar’s long-standing houseboat tradition. Built with carved cedar wood and detailed interiors, the houseboats offer a stay on the water shaped by local design and lifestyle.
Guests can begin their day with views of the lake and surrounding landscape, followed by a Shikara ride, often scheduled early in the day to visit the tulip garden. Dining includes Kashmiri dishes such as Wazwan, prepared using regional methods.
Travel around the Tulip Festival period

The Tulip Festival in Srinagar generally reaches peak bloom in early April, drawing visitors to the gardens set against the Zabarwan range. With options across both land and water, WelcomHeritage’s seasonal offering connects travellers with different aspects of the destination during this period.
Bookings for the festival window are now open as travel plans take shape around this seasonal event.
