United Airlines Adds New Domestic Routes from Chicago O’Hare for Summer 2026
United Airlines is expanding its domestic network from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, adding two new routes and increasing service to an existing destination as part of its planned growth for the 2026 summer season.
From June 1, 2026, United will resume service between Chicago O’Hare and Erie, Pennsylvania (ERI), a route last operated in May 2023. A week later, on June 8, 2026, the airline will launch flights between Chicago O’Hare and Tri-Cities, Tennessee (TRI), introducing the city as a new destination in United’s network. Both routes will operate three times daily during the summer season.
In addition, United will increase frequency on its Chicago O’Hare–Lincoln, Nebraska (LNK) route by adding one additional daily flight, bringing total service to five daily departures. Tickets for all newly announced and expanded services are now available for booking.
The latest additions form part of United’s broader expansion at O’Hare, where the airline expects to operate nearly 650 daily departures during peak summer 2026. With the introduction of Erie and Tri-Cities, United will have added 13 new destinations from Chicago O’Hare in 2026, including the upcoming launch of service to Clarksburg, West Virginia (CKB).

United’s network growth at O’Hare has been supported by additional gate capacity at the airport, enabling the airline to expand its domestic flight options. Alongside network expansion, United has also grown its local workforce, recently hiring more than 2,000 employees in the Chicago area. The airline expects to hire further through 2027 to support ongoing operations and growth at its Chicago hub.
