Sterling Launches Govardhana Malampuzha, Expanding Presence in Kerala

Sterling Holiday Resorts has announced the opening of Sterling Govardhana Malampuzha, a new resort that brings fresh focus to Kerala’s garden valley. This launch strengthens Sterling’s presence in South India and supports its goal of curating destinations that offer new travel experiences.

Located near the Western Ghats and within easy driving distance of Palakkad and Coimbatore, the resort aims to position Malampuzha as a short-stay destination for families, couples, and groups. Designed as an accessible nature retreat, it blends ease of travel, local culture, and Sterling’s hospitality.

“Sterling Govardhana, Malampuzha marks the creation of a new travel node,” said Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts.

“By integrating Malampuzha into our South India network, we are connecting markets and building new travel circuits across Tamil Nadu, Central Kerala, and the Nilgiris. With proximity to Sterling resorts in Anaikatti, Athirappilly, Guruvayur, and Ooty, this opening fits into our broader regional travel strategy.”

Set amid gardens framed by the Sahyadri hills, the resort features rooms and suites for families and couples, along with lawns and indoor venues suited for reunions, weddings, and celebrations.

At Savoree, the on-site restaurant, guests can enjoy regional Kerala dishes such as Paal Konchu Porichathu, Kozhi Erussery, and Paneer Kurumulaku Roast, as well as family favourites and global options prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

M. Satheesan, representative of Malampuzha Hotel Pvt. Ltd, said: “Malampuzha represents Kerala’s natural charm and community spirit. Our partnership with Sterling is based on a shared vision to highlight destinations through thoughtful hospitality that supports local communities.”

Guests can explore the valley by ropeway, visit the rock gardens, stroll by the dam, and enjoy cultural performances and scenic walks.

With the addition of Malampuzha to its network, alongside resorts in Athirappilly, Anaikatti, Alleppey, Wayanad, Munnar, Guruvayur, and Thekkady, Sterling continues to strengthen its circuit connecting Tamil Nadu, Central Kerala, and the Nilgiris through its “What-A Trip” campaign.
