Marriott India Business Council Marks 11 Years of “Road to Give” with Hyderabad Event

The Marriott India Business Council marked the 11th anniversary of its annual initiative, “Road to Give,” with a Hyderabad edition that brought together associates, partners, and the local community in a shared display of movement and purpose. While the initiative spanned South Asia, the Hyderabad event focused on city-wide participation, wellness, and collaboration across Marriott properties.

What began as a fitness-focused event has grown into a platform that promotes empathy and collective action across the region.

The Hyderabad edition began at Marriott Executive Apartments with a group warm-up, followed by a 5K run. Participants then joined a high-intensity interval training session and concluded with breakfast at the Altair banquet space.

This year’s campaign saw participation from more than 10,000 associates who ran, walked, cycled, and moved for a cause. Over INR 1 crore was raised in support of Rising Star Outreach of India, a Chennai-based NGO that works with individuals and families affected by leprosy through education, healthcare, and vocational training.

Reflecting Marriott’s core value of “Putting People First,” associates from participating hotels led community wellness events, charity runs, and volunteer activities aimed at promoting physical well-being and social contribution.

“Each year, Road to Give highlights the impact of collective purpose,” said Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, Marriott India Business Council.

“As we mark the 11th year of this initiative, we recognize the spirit of unity and care our associates bring to their communities.”

Over time, “Road to Give” has become an integral part of Marriott’s culture of giving, encouraging associates to support wellness, inclusion, and community engagement.

Participating Hyderabad properties included Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad, Marriott Hyderabad, Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad, Le Meridien Hyderabad, The Westin Hyderabad Hitec City, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, and Fairfield by Marriott Hyderabad Gachibowli.

As the Marriott India Business Council plans for the year ahead, it extends its thanks to all participants, partners, and supporters who contributed to the 2025 edition. Every effort moves the initiative closer to its goal of fostering a more inclusive and compassionate community.
