Metropole Hanoi Recognized Again in Global Hotel Rankings

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has been included in the “500 Best Hotels” list by Travel + Leisure for 2026, marking its sixth consecutive year on the list.

The hotel, which marks its 125th anniversary this year, is among 12 properties in Vietnam featured in the 2026 ranking and one of two located in Hanoi. The annual “World’s Best” awards, published in the magazine’s May issue, highlight hotels based on reader feedback and industry evaluation.

George Koumendakos, General Manager of the property, said the recognition reflects the hotel’s ongoing focus on maintaining service standards while building on its long-standing history. He added that the milestone year provides an opportunity to continue refining the guest experience.

The listing follows a series of recent acknowledgements for the hotel. It was included in Fodor’s “100 Most Incredible Hotels in the World” for 2026 and received a MICHELIN Key in the first Vietnam edition of the MICHELIN Guide.

Additional mentions include recognition by Business Traveller as one of the best business hotels in Asia-Pacific for 2025 and inclusion in Robb Report Hong Kong’s “Best of the Best” for 2026. The hotel was also named a leading city hotel in Vietnam at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2025 and featured in the Gold List 2025 by Condé Nast Traveler.

The continued presence of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi in global rankings reflects its position within the international hospitality sector and its long-established presence in the region.
