Remington Hospitality Appoints Nicole Shanks as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Remington Hospitality has appointed Nicole Shanks as Chief Human Resources Officer.

In her new role, Shanks will lead the company’s human resources strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, leadership development, total rewards, HR technology, learning and development, and associate engagement across its portfolio.

Shanks joins Remington Hospitality from Sonesta Hotels & Resorts, where she served as Chief People Officer, leading HR strategy across a portfolio of more than 200 hotels and over 9,000 associates. Her responsibilities included organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, and culture transformation initiatives.

Prior to this, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Controlled Contamination Services, where she developed HR frameworks to support business growth. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles at Texas Western Hospitality, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and Pillar Hotels & Resorts.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through HRCI. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

In her current role, Shanks will focus on strengthening people strategies, enhancing organisational culture, and supporting business growth through effective human resource management.

“Nicole understands what it takes to build high-performing teams and create an environment where associates can succeed,” CEO Ben Perelmuter said in a statement. “As we continue expanding our third-party management platform, her experience will strengthen our organization and help us deliver exceptional service, operational excellence, and long-term value for our owners.”

The appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team and people function.
