The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, managed by the GMR Group, has just revealed a new general aviation terminal catering to private jet owners and travellers. This custom facility is designed to meet the needs of passengers flying on chartered aircraft for business or leisure purposes.

The general aviation terminal covers an area of 11,234 square feet and is situated next to the main RGIA terminal. It includes a private entrance and parking area. The terminal’s architecture blends classical design elements with Indo-Saracenic and Indo-Gothic styles, providing an atmosphere of sophistication and comfort.

The terminal offers a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of both domestic and international general aviation passengers. These services include a luxurious lounge, a private lounge for added privacy, separate arrival and departure corridors, and streamlined check-in, immigration, and customs processes. Additional amenities include hand baggage processing, security clearance, a breathalyzer test facility for crew members, a staff lounge, duty-free shopping, and Wi-Fi for uninterrupted connectivity.

To improve the travel experience, passengers are driven directly to and from their aircraft, ensuring a smooth journey without the usual lines or delays associated with commercial air travel.
